Menu and Server Browser Problems

Got a couple menu problems recently. This is not the same as the sticky "Fix for common main menu bug". The menu shows up just fine and complete, but it tends to freeze. All buttons have no reaction whatsoever. I need to Alt+F4 and restart. Often happens in the Mod sub-menu, but also occures in all other sub-menu's.
I've seen this problem beeing mentioned by other people.
Measure's tried with no help:
- Deleted and deactivated all mods
- Deleted %AppsData% profile for NS2
- Reinstall NS2
- Deleting lua folders as said in the sticky thread. Then verified steam files to redownload
- Setting Steam > Settings > Ingame > Max. Server Ping > 250
It's hard to get to play with this issue. I need to join over Steamfriends hook in. Also need to mention that I unfortunately need to play with lower resolution.
