Log.txt over 200MB big.

Hi

I have recently been having issues with my game freezing and dumping every time I ALT+TAB out of game and try to reapply the game to full screen. Requiring a dump to be sent (Which never does as this is locked also).

Upon looking to find more information about this I noticed my log.txt file was over 200MB big??

I was also talking to another NS2 player who also noted there log file was over 400MB big.

Is this normal? As I am rather tight on SSD Harddisk space at the moment will I have to manual keep an eye on my log file size?

Please help!

To make it short: Nope that totally not normal. My server running 24h a day has at the end of the day a log of abot 5-8 MB.

Just delete the log.txt for now and watch if it gets reseted if you reopen ns2.

If your log is that big it is generally because of an error somewhere. If you open the log, are there any errors posted in there?

Also, the log file gets re-written everytime you launch NS2. So it maybe high this time, because you played on a server with a mod error or something, but the next time you play, you could sit on there for a couple of hours and the text files would only be 94kb.
