Infestation Support Buff

Currently infestation is for placing building and aesthetics, but what if the alien commander could use it to support his team? Like aliens on it do extra damage or have extra armor, or marines on it deal less damage or have less armor. Speed buffs and debuffs to the aliens and marines respectively could also help in a battle.

    I think they should just buff the few abilities the khamm already has. Rupture is pretty much worthless as it is now, but bonewall is probably in a good spot.

    Infestation does already have passive buffs. You make less noise when you run on it as skulk and gorges belly slide faster (I feel like I'm forgetting something).

    Anyway, no, infestation should get any more buffs imo, because it has previously shown to be one of the culprits causing frame drops for a lot of people. Back in 'the day' (If you felt like trolling) you'd spam cysts all over the place, just to make the marines lack like hell. Fortunately they increased the area where you are allowed to place cysts between so that isn't an issue any more - but I'd like to see as little infestation as possible from a competetive stand point tbh.

    infestation used to boost alien health regeneration, not sure if that is still in the game or not (i don't think it's a very significant boost anyway). it used to slow down marines when sprinting but that was removed. however, arcs are still slowed significantly. it also "attacks" marine buildings and detonates mines. it is not only required for alien structures not to die, but also for commander abilities bone wall, mist and rupture as well as for echoing in a surprise-whip or some other structure. it used to give vision of marines stepping on infestation but that turned out to be way too powerful...

    Dont forget marines make a fucktonne of noise running on infestation. SQUELCH SQUELCH SQUELCH SQUELCH

    Also remember rupture got buffed already so you can use it anywhere on infestation, not just cysts. It's actually pretty useful if you ask me (though I'm terrible at using it/ remembering to use it)
