your game files do not match the servers

i just to buy the game on summer sales, i started it and they ask me if i want to optimise, i click on "Optimise" and the game start to load, several minutes later the game start to load shaders, but suddenly he crash and return to main menu with the next advice "your game files do not match the servers". The same when i try to play the turorial, the training vs bots.. in all the options. What can i do to play?? i´m using win XP. Sorry for my english i´m not native. pls help me

ok i just to play in a official server without problems, i can´t understand nothing why i can´t play the tutorial and yes on normal game vs players??

Yup, this is a known issue.
Basically it is a memory issue with our hash checking implementation.

BUT, you are getting this issue because unfortunately your video card is below the minimum required specifications to play the game. (8800 or better)
the 9800 series is the same exact tech but smaller die size than the 8800 series, and you unfortunately got the low end of that series.. so the minimum required: 8800 - is better than your 9400 GT.
As further evidence of this, you'll notice that your video card has half the minimum required VRAM - or GPU memory needed - to play NS2. It has 512 MB, when the minimum is 1 GB.

This is why you are running out of memory (and the fact that you are running in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, which takes up even more VRAM rendering the OS)
and why you are getting crashes.

Another set of bad news: Your CPU is also below the minimum required specifications. It is 8 years old now.


I am sorry to break the news to ya, but you may be due for an upgrade to play modern day FPS games :-/

but the last question, why i can play on official servers agains other players with 15/18 fps and i can´t play the tutorial or agains bots, i can´t undestand it

Because for those you have to also host a local server

It costs more memory to run performance demanding bots and your own server, compared to joining an official UWE server with no mods. (mods add additional memory consumption, depending)
