Worldcraft Screwup?

Brush outside of world...
I'm getting the old 'brush outside of allowed range +-4096' error - when I'm using the cordon-bound 'render an area' thing. Is this a known issue? It's only just started happening, but it's a killer, as I'm having to either compile the entire map, or hide and seal off corridors

I don't know this for sure, but sometimes the "brush outside world" error can result from having an invalid brush. If this is the case, the coordinates given will always include either exactly 9000 or 10000. Do a "check for problems" to see if you have an invalid brush or not.

Sometimes the brush wont show up.... (very rarely!)
You can open the map file you just compiled, the brush will stick out like a sore thumb.
Just rebuild that brush, and try again.

I have seen this. You get it of you use the cordon too near the edge of the grid. The cordon works by adding brushes around the outside of the cordon area, if you do this near the edge of the grid these cordon brushes often stick over edge and you get this error. Edit->Select All then drag your map away from the edge (make sure you have texture lock turned on), replace the cordon and try again.

That was it, you're a star.

Note - I really wasn't *THAT* close to the edge... must be a fair old thickness box :-)

    Cheers.
