<div class="IPBDescription">List your strategies here for others.</div> Hey, I thought it'd be good to have a thread about different strategies we've come to learn to share with others. This isn't for the newbs. If you are a newb and reading this, I suggest you hit the back button twice and go to New Players forum. This is for experienced players (experienced relative to how long the mod has been out of course).
Many of you might know this already, but for those of you that don't, this is a nice technique. Gorges can web two spots on the ground. Webbing is constructed between these two points and they behave just like normal webbing (only you have to land on it to trigger). It is a little harder to see for a marine, and it can be put all over the floors (making it impossible to cross without getting webbed). It also makes it more difficult for a welder to destroy being so low to the ground.
Another tactic that works hand-in-hand with the ground webbing is to place the ground webbing near some offense structures. Angle it just so that as soon as they get stuck, they are in the line of fire of offense towers to kill them. It works like a charm. Keep webbing it when it needs to be webbed, and the defense is inpenatrable without grenades.
A tip for all commanders out there... USE PHASE GATES! It makes getting around easy and getting reinforcements to a node easy as pie. Remember to keep the phase gate in the main base AWAY from the command center (in case an onos decides he wants to go out in glory). The phase gate should be put near the base defense in such a way that it couldn't get to command center without taking a lot of abuse first.
