On your confusion of the reefback:
I was eating my chocolate when i had a concept art of the reefback on half my monitor, and the reefback on the other half. i was listening to how it made noise, and how it strangely looked like a tripod from half life 2. The tripods are biological with an alien substance (hard shell) on their back. The reefback is the same. My theory is that it is an animal, but notice how the piece with the reef seems to be a separate section? I think that It has the backpeice as a fin, the 3 offshoots are also used for feeling, if the (Leviathan or Reaper) or the stalker come up behind it. the front section is also biological, but the (Reef) hard part, is a shell. The reef/shell, as shown in the concept art, can grow algae, or creepervines, or coral discs, and possibly hold life. Conclusion, it is an animal. I know it was confusing what i said, but study it ingame, and it will make sense.
    P.S.
For some reason, your stalker looks green, and like an eel, but mine is grayish blue, with an elongated snout. Explanation?

that is because this is a very old thread from when the game just let out on early access. the green eel was known as the stalker for a long time tho he was a place holder. the blue snout shark guy is the new stalker, and the green eel guys will be in volcano areas instead.

the thread just need to be updated that's it.

hi guys ... have you seen a game called no man sky??

maybe you can make thousands of species .... if you make the "basic" species (like seeds) and then let the computer generate the rest .. combining and resizing randomly!! you could end up with so many amazing variations ....

but great game and keep up the good work.. the moment i saw that video on steam it was INSTANT BUY for me
