Extending the Map?

Hi.
I know the primary map is handcrafted, and to go outside of the boundaries is impossible since you are blocked in by sheer cliffs but something popped into my head.
Procedurally generate the outer map, and keep the original boundary handcrafted?
Since the map as it is still has allot of content to be added in, as it stands it will be massive, and I was wondering if you folks would look at generating the terrain outside of this in a random fashion so we can search to our hearts content.
I don't know if you will be releasing map extensions via DLC packs or just keep adding as time goes on?
