gg cdt. Although the promise to fix the two crashes against the server sounded promising, now it's unplayable in it's entirety.. to an extent. Lovely. Well, at least until more tests are done. This is just the first impression. Guess this is why there's hardly any mods available? Every update, though minor, seem to break mods. These mods which extend the lifespan of the current game. Mods that don't ask for money or anything except for the support of players to play them. Hm. Well, maybe it's possible to fix down the line.. but this is just a bummer overall.

P.s - to all the cocksucker's who took offensive to my previous thread of calling the cdt cocksuckers... loosen up a little bit. This includes anyone who has taken offensive to such words. As players in-game have such more flavorful words with much more insult/salt to injury.. my words of calling somebody a cocksucker is a reference to Joey Diaz from the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. A joking manner.

There are different ways to create mods. The recomended way is not to overwrite existing files but use hooks. Most mods that do that work during many releases and only need minor adjustements. I dont know if siege mod does this, but if not it should look into that technique

    Dude really come on.

Everyone knows that mods which are not based on hooking or a full makeover will break with every single ns2 patch. This is just given by code design!

Also when it comes to siege mod, no offense, but you included lots of unstable code (from eem and classic) into it which means it is not really surprising that it breaks with ns2 updates.

So overall it's your own responsibility to make sure the mod doesn't break with every update as you are free to design siege mod in a way that it would not break with any patch. (aka full conversion mod ).

With these warm words i welcome you to the world of ns2 modding, most ns2 modders can tell you that the updates of this year are "harmless" compared to the ones we had back the "gorgeous" days.

As above, try to use hooks and not old outdated code from other mods. Keep your mod clean, and it will translate over to newer builds much better and easier.

Closing this thread as it serves no purpose.
