[Linux] Fix non-ASCII characters in chat and UI

There are two ways:
1) Wait for build 273 to be released where it should be fixed.
2) Use this workaround. The title says about cyrillic chat but it will also fix Polish, German and other translations that use non-ASCII characters.

I'm reposting this here because this forum section is more likely to be read by people with such an issue than "Ideas and suggestions".

    Is the workaround still needed or is it completely fixed now?
