AVG reports unknown threat

Hi

I just came back from a long break from NS2 and suddenly AVG said that NS2.exe is a unknown threat.
Thought I should make you guys aware that AVG gives a false positive warning against your game.

Hmmm, I sent my copy of NS2.exe to virustotal.com and not a single AV gave a positive. Your PC might have had a virus that changed the code of NS2.exe, try uploading it to virustotal.com as well and then delete it and verify your game cache through steam to redownload it.

i had problems too with AVG, after the update of ns2 and/or last update of AVG itself.
Working after making exception / safelist or whatever.

Got 0/57 virus detection on virustotal.

Might just been AVG that went a little crazy or something.

I would just like to point out as kouji has said, Avast me hearties! Y'ar har Fidlee dee, being a pirate is the way to be! Do what you want, 'cause a PIRATE IS FREE!

i run eset, which isnt free, but has excellent reputation and track report for very very few false positives.

You can run Windows without AV or use a "not crap" AV...

I strongly would suggest to run a AV. You can get enough crap through mere adds
