Sentry ARCS

Hi everyone

Sometimes when playing marines the team can't or don't know how or when to push, now i have this idea of having ARCS with Sentry on them so the commander can help push a room.
Is this an old idea that got put in the trash bin or are you working on something like this?

portable sentry backpacks would be even better, although that is kind of how it works already in ns2 combat i guess

originally when catpacks were announced i assumed they would be an actual backpack similar to the way the jetpack is. A catpack would boost the wearers speed, reload and swing speed whilst it was worn. This imo would be a much better implementation than the current catpacks which hardly ever get used in pubs. I assume it would be easy to implement a static object that doesnt have animations and attaches to the marines back area. could be spliced from parts of the jetpack and catpack to make the model

    also observatory backpacks

they better have half the damage of normal sentries and cost twice as much as a normal arc
otherwise this entire concept is a joke

when i read title i was thinking arcs as sentries to blast aliens rofl. Of the Onos would run like hell.

This would be pretty easy to do. I would ever say they should shoot while not deployed. When they are moving they can only fire in a 30 degree range but when deployed they have 360 degree. Sentries kinda suck as is so its not like these would be OP or anything so you could easily through them in with no balancing. Max them the exact same as regular arcs except maybe a little weaker in armor.

In my experience, marines take Arcs firing as a signal to finally push a hive room.
After 10 minutes of trying to herd the *****ers into a group to push the hive like sensible people. Finally they push, when the job is already done by expensive outsourced hive killing robots. They all run in and lose the rest of the map. Good job chaps, 8 marines shooting a decysted 25% health harvester. Good job I bought got those arcs.
