Well lets see, the french won the world championship, gorge plushie outbreak is on the rise, ENSL is alittle more quiet nowadays, CDT are still pumping out patches with another one on its way, there was a mass - de - bate regarding if a group of onos are called oni, onos's, onosuses or spacecows and then there are a few new top secret surprises are in store for you.
Yea, I can't wait how that hitreg fix and the "attempted to sync invalid collision rep" investigation will turn out. Maybe I shall be skilled player yet!

oh my gawd, the list of client side fixes is just phenomenal. Holy crap. McGlaspie and co are absolute geniuseseses. On a side note, every time I take a break from the game (for about 2 days), then come back for a quick round, I always get hooked again, and can't get enough of the game. The teamwork (when it happens) is just so so so good.
Thank you CDT for keep improving the game. I so wish we can do a re-release with all the extra content and all the extra optimisation. Its like a different game. Wish UWE had a marketing budget, this could easily kill Evolve. Because we all know, Natural Selection is the end goal, Evolve is just a means to get there.

I can confirm a considerable performance boost.
The patch release shouldn't be far from now. Build machine upgrade got in the way I think. Better safe then sorry.
i didn't think anyone really played doom, descent, or myst any more. aside from the one-off nostalgia trips. hell, i replay the original x-com from time to time...but i can't imagine wanting to play doom (too choppy, quake 1 is miles better in terms of graphical/movement experience), descent (terribad graphics, descent 2 much better in every category), or myst again.

Whaaat? No, man. I have a list of games I play every two years to remind myself of what works in games and doesn't. Descent used to be on the list, but I haven't played it since I bought it again off GOG. I tried to play Myst again as well, but the time investment is just so significant.

ok, well substitute 'anyone' with 'an insignificant percentage of gamers' and the point still stands.

hint *moustaches* hint.
AND YET, IT LIVES.
A much more accurate way of looking at it, however, is... yea we could use some more players. Not great, but not terrible either.

You know, this could be the start of another beautiful thread :-?
gorge plushies are actually a real thing now?

also... Onii!
Oh, yes it will. Look at NS1, has better gameplay and runs well on everyone's machines. But it's dead and old.
You know.... Flayra has links to Guantanamo Bay you know that right?
Single player games usually fare well. Doom, Descent, MYST.
RIP tribes. RIP...

I'd substitute that with most of the "classics" now older than ten years old at this point, except maybe Nintendo games.
I really liked Riven. Have you played that one yet?
