NS2 Crashes when streamed

Hello there.

I often broadcast NS2 gameplay and competitive play from the competitive scene at twitch.tv/thesingingskulk.

However, lately OBS and shadowplay have not wanted to stream. Whenever I start the game streaming or start streaming while running the game.

Here is the techsupport.exe rapport. If anyone here can help me, I would be very grateful :3

It seems it is actually the Steam overlay that crashes for you. Maybe some update of Steam or NVidia broke something....
Try to disable Steam overlay temporarily for NS2 or revert your NVidia software if you updated recently.

You disable Steam overlay by right clicking the game in Steam Library, clicking "properties" and on the "general" tab UNchecking the "enable steam community in game". Have you done it this way?

Go to the Windows Control Panels -> Programs and Features. Sort the list of installed apps by install date(last installed first) and check which changed just before things broke for you. You revert simply by uninstalling there and downloading older version from internet. Other suspicious software that seems to meddle with your game seems to be your Razer software and Nvidia 3D Vision. EDIT: And Bonjour, which is part of Apple software: thewindowsclub.com/remove-bonjour-from-windows
    BTW:
    Steam last updated FEB 18
    Geforce drivers FEB 10
    Geforce experience(=shadowplay) JAN 22
    and NS2 JAN 30
Also do note Natural Selection 2 is not on the list of supported games in ShadowPlay.

@Ixian To update you, if you are still with us and haven't fixed your problem based on my previous post: For at least one other person the Razer software did cause trouble: http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/137091/ns2-instant-crash-when-run#latest
    Try to disable/uninstall it.

I am able to stream now. I switched from game capture only to monitor capture only. That does however cost a severe amount of FPS which is quite odd.

I tried to disable the razer software, and at first glance It fixed the problem. Thank you alot for your help krOoze - 10/10! =D

I had issues in the past with the Geforce Experience program and crashing when streaming. I use OBS now after uninstalling Experience, and I haven't had issue.
