Does the new March 15th update require a game reset?

I've been messing around in the new March 15th continuing my game from the Feb 15th release. Everything seems to be compatible so far, all the lockers in my Cyclops look to be intact, rocks are breackable, I can build all the bits in a seabase... but am I making a mistake by not creating a new safe file for this update? The only issue ive found so far is that when i die, i spawn in the shallows outside of the escape pod. But that's no big deal.
I know that there have been some changes to the world gen and loot spawns, but am I missing out on any new content by not starting over?

Has anyone read anything relating to this from the game Devs?

generally it's a good idea to start a new game when an update hits. Somethings change when updates hit, like the loot system or other mechanics within the game.

Although I don't know about the March release specifically, from what I've seen it will keep running. However, you will likely miss out on updated areas on the map (at least areas you have visited) due to how your game is saved. Hopefully at some point, the game may only save those parts that you have changed (e.g. dug up sand).

    Thanks for the advice guys.
I started an new game, looks like the the fragment analyzer doesnt spawn in the lifepod on save games made before the March 15 update. Would have been a little inconvenient not to have that.
