Power Generation and Consumption

As always, loving the game so far. I have an idea that probably isn't uncommon.
Currently, batteries and power cells are single use and they are destroyed when used up. What if you had a kind that was re-chargable?
You could have a relatively inexpensive battery that you can make (like they are currently) and have them be made with no power. You could charge them through a variety of ways.
(solar and wind for initial power generation at the surface at the beginning). The inexpensive ones could hold a lot of power but once they are fully used, they won't work and you have to make a new one.
Of course, then have a more expensive one that is re-chargable, though can't hold as much power.
As you gain those fragments or maybe if you can research something for it (saw a lot of discussions on research trees and such), you can build attachments and rooms to bases for power generation from geo-thermal through hydro-thermal vents. (maybe nuclear down the line since there is radiation in the game? risks are obvious and maybe exposure of local marine life can make them hazardous to eat or mutate into a dangerous or more dangerous monstrosity)
In bases, you should have to make a room for oxygen generation, maybe electrolysis or eventually a hydroponics area that can do it naturally and generate food/research?
Also, maybe have cables that can run to bases from the surface for initial power from a set up solar or wind power generation rig but have the amount of power that can go through the cable diminish the longer it is and have hostile creatures attack it when they get close which can cut the cable.
Also, being a certified diver, I think it would be neat if you actually had to pressurize your air tanks at pressure stations instead of just at the surface and there can be some in the seamoth and the escape pod, as well as the ability to build one like a fabricator. This can make the game more challenging and make you have to be more strategic about your resources. Also, you can make it so that if you get attacked or are near something hostile or just scary, the oxygen requirement goes up. (I'm not saying make it so that pressure depth has to apply or anything like that, but maybe add small elements to make it more challenging since oxygen really isn't much of a problem once you have an extra tank, seaglide or a seamoth and it should be as vital and importantly deadly if you aren't careful).
Thanks for reading! Keep up the amazing work!
