Hi !

Sorry for that post but may I suggest the modo(s) to create new sub forums ? It becomes a little wild down here, and the newbies keep telling the same things in feedback (no offense here, it's just as it is). Also, we are duplicate ideas along different threads or we say things that have been already said in a different thread weeks ago...

They recently created a sub forum for bug reporting, most other topics fit into general discussions - from suggestions to gameplay chatter.. what else do you suggest that needs a special area of focus?

Like mechanics, story, fauna/flora, blueprints, ect... Just watching all the subjects here is a good way to know what category it may be add...

Yeah that is one of my concerns with this Forum as well.

I want to do a "My thoughts and enhancements" type post but am 100% sure almost everything I want or am thinking has been posted.

The Website looks flashy and real clean. But a solid Forum structure leads to better feedback and development.

Keep your eyes open devs respond on threads all the time here. But your right, a thread for suggestions should be sticky or whatever.

ideas and suggestion threads should be merged into one thread and that thread stickied.

Of course that won't solve the problem completely, there is always going to be people who ignore things, be lazy or not do a proper search beforehand and still post such threads.

    There should be

    Suggestion subforum
    General
    Gameplay MECHANICS specifically
Aesthetics ... Anything to do with feel and atmosphere and the looks
    Bugs
And of course a dev forum for updates, announcements, etc.

It's probably not time to split the forums up just yet. We are not getting nearly enough posts to justify it right now. Don't worry, when it gets going we will take action!

I agree with Comprox tbh :P

I just was sharing my suggestions for some possible subforums-- but to be honest there aren't any people posting in comparison to other games

I just failed to understand the user base. And how little posting is done at the moment.

    it'll pick up ;)

They're not posting in forums because they're all "testing" the game... I'd take that as great news.

A lot of people post on the Steam forums for any game nowadays. Most posting actually happens over there for Subnautica. But our forums look much cooler.

I didnt think any dev from any game ever looked at the Steam Forums. Cool man.
This forum does look cooler, but the steam forums are laid out much better. Nothing wrong with this forum, just less traffic and use.

Yeah I don't like the steam forums. And have always felt DEV Websites for credibility means are better. Like you all have to monitor the Website.

To many people troll and are childish on the Steam forums IMO.

But if that is the spot. I'll peep it.

The problem with steam forums/community is that it's full of whiner and entitlement people. Seems to me that the steam forums are like reddit. You usually get more people complaining or trashing on the game than you do with feedback from past experience with other games and reading the discussions for them on steam.

Then again I suppose it's better they post that garbage over on the steam forums instead of inundating these forums with such postings.

Steam forums are uninterestings because people whine, run in circles and don't think (if I'm a little arsh, my apologyze, but it's mi opinion), and they are MORE chaotic than this forum. Simply said, here it's warm and friendly, there it's an empty floe (perahps with some penguin here and there :p).
