Game 'hangs' for X seconds at the completion of building a 'unit'. Lag also occurs at the beginning of deconstruction of a unit.
Lag time increases with the number of constructed units.
Base is a few hundred units large and lag is approx 9 seconds.
I have not yet built a base quite that big. However, there is work going on with large sized bases. It should be available on the experimental tree. Not sure if that will address this particular issue. But will take a look at it. Will link to the card once I get a chance to get a bug in about it.
