[Bug] Broken F8 / Steam not recording gameplay time [16126]

On all builds I have played in the past few months, including experimental, the F8 key reports 'not connected' 99% of the time. Doesn't seem to matter if I have saved/loaded; it just never seems connected. Starting new games sometimes allows me to report for 5-10 minutes, and then it disappears.

Steam updates successfully on a regular basis and checking integrity never reveals issues.

Not sure if related, but Steam isn't recording the amount of time I have played hardly at all. It has only recorded me playing about 2 hours, when I am easily at 50+ hours.

All other online games are correctly recorded with no problems whatsoever.

P.S. Any idea on fixes or just wait it out?

Probably the port used for the communication is blocked or the server is blocked, or your connection is blocked. Shouldn't really matter to the direct playing of the game but the two problems may be related.
