Venomous Crabsnakes?

So I was looking at the model for the Crabsnakes, and they appear to have a pair of little fangs.

What if they were venomous?

So say you're in the glowy mushroom biome where they're gonna live, and one bites you, but doesn't hold on, it just bites and lets go, causing a very small amount of damage at first (say one or two) and unless you make a type of anti-venom (which may have to be researched first) you will slowly loose health(again, 1 or 2 health every minute or so), eventually as your health gets low enough(say around 40) your character would start to having spasms and get blurry vision as a result of the venom and you'd start losing health faster until you either cured yourself or died.

I dont see much point, those fangs look like they would just instakill you.

Again, I'm not talking about the big feelers, I'm talking about the tiny little fang looking things, see them in the middle of the face?

I don't think they plan to make the Crabsnakes as big as this concept art.

Yes, I think they could be venomous. But I also think that they should do decent amount of damage first, and then the venom strikes in later. But it could cause some problems, since many people probably won't know how to make antidote when they first time get bit.

I think that we can tell a bit about how big crabsnakes will be based on the size of the jelly shrooms that they are supposed to come out of. They look pretty close to the concept art to me.

You should need to collect the venom (without dying) to get some tech.
