Hello everyone, hoping you're having a wonderfull day

Short story before i get into my ideas.
I'm a scuba diver in my spare time, and i have quite a few times been scared and amazed by some of the creatures we have in our oceans, and the sizes of some of them, therefore i've been taking inspiration from nature to get some ideas for larger hostile/ neutral creatures that could exist in the subnautica world.

1. The Quartz Crawler.
A large lobster like creature with quartz on it's back, neutral to the player unless they attack them. can be killed for quartz shards, which could be crafted into quartz, given enough shards were possesed. about the lenght of the seamoth.

2. The Glow Shark
A deep sea creature about half the length of the cyclops, living in the deep jelly shroom caves. with large glowing eyes and a purple glow down the side of them, remains dormant until a player gets close, then attacks the player.

3. The Maw
A creature living in the Grand reef biome, same length as the cyclops. swimming around near the bottom and will attack players if they get too close, will have a large mouth with 2 rows of teeth located in the front of the body, and has 3 tentacles int eh back that it uses to propel itself.

4. The Hexa squid
A squid like creature about the size of the cyclops, has a large slender body with 3 tentacles on each side, a large mouth and 6 eyes, 2 in the front and 4 on the sides. remains on the sea floor, where it mimics the red grass in "grassy plateus". natural enemy of the reefback and netural towards players.

I think we can all agree that i'm terrible with names, but besides that, i think some of these creatures would be pretty cool to see in game

Thanks for such an awesome game, developers.

I think you should describe these a little bit more. Like colorings etc.

    1. Not really fan of this creature. But it would be funnier this way:
    • It's a lot smaller, and the thing on it's back would be the same size as collectable quartz.
    • It would bury under the sand, showing just the 'fake quartz' part of it's body.
    • It'll jump from the sand if you try to pick it up, scaring clueless players.

    2. Jellyshroom caves will have grabsnakes, so I'm not sure if this would be needed. It would be more suitable if it was smaller, around the same size as other 2 sharks at the moment. It could also be a deep sea creature.

    3. Don't have much to say about this. The creature of this size sohuld live in fairly deep areas.

    4. How could a cyclops-sized creature mimic grass? I think it would be better if it was a roaming creature.

A glowing creature would be good if we could use the natural chemicals that create the glow for natural lighting that doesn't require a power source. Having loads of creatures we don't actually have any use for seems a bit pointless and just makes something else we need to avoid. There are already more creatures that are totally useless than there are ones that are useful.

@Tryst The future DNA sampling update will make most, if not all, of the creatures usefull.
