Disable enable console problem

Okay everytime i try to enable the console for the game (in the stable game) it stops me, like it doesn't allow me to click on the square and enable it...

please help?

Console is only in the experimental branch

I used F3, but now i tried F8 and F3 and now it allows me to change! yes!

another thing, how do i spawn items?
