Qiamonds!

Hi guys, just wondering where I can get diamonds from so that I can upgrade my knife.
I have been VERY deep in the game. Beyond 300m down. In deep caves with lots of Lava plumes.
But still no Diamonds.

Diamond is found in basalt. Here's a wiki page all about it.

It seems like it gives diamond and gold.
I've collected almost 50 gold without finding a single diamond.
Is my game broken?

I dunno. I personally have never found diamonds myself. I know that a major loot update is on the horizon, so that might fix the problem.

I found lots of diamonds in basalt caves in the koosh biome out from the bow of the crashed ship and a bit to the north.. When I get back to my computer, I'll try to give you better directions...

I found lots of diamonds on the floater islands (not the floating island). Looks like a smaller version of quartz.

ok thanks you guys. Ive never gone far out in front of the bow of the aurora.
Only really behind the stern, and way deep, but never any diamonds.
