Especially since the base already has some kind of draining system.
I don't think i stated my point here: once you build a base, it's magically full of fresh air! So where does it come from? Of course one could explain that one extracted the soluted oxygen out of the water, but that's kind of ... ya know. For a base near the surface, simple pipes on its momentary state might be enough for air supply, but think of a seabase 300 meters below with a (geodetical) pressure of (roughly, i don't know much about the gravity on this planet) more than 30 bars. So if you wanna drain a base in, let's say 30 seconds, you're gonna need a whole bunch of energy and a real big pump, roughly using the same power as a highspeed train, for a small base at 300m (well ok, that is deep then).
(To be honest, i didn't calculate that all by myself, so i'm not guaranteeing for correctness of the value, but for me it feels about roughly the right size. If you're not fine with it, i'll have a quick calculation about it when i'm finished with my exams)

I'm pretty sure the bases are meant to have some form of oxygen scrubbers so the player can breathe.
Though I'd like to be able to build them on as attachments to increase oxygen recovery inside the base.
Right now going outside fills up air faster than being inside the base.
Add a couple more oxygen scrubbers to your base and you can double, or triple the oxygen recovery speed.
Of course with that comes power requirements and structural integrity risks.
On the topic of the Aircraft, I found a good idea of what the Behemoth, which I'd like to rename to the Albatross, would look like.

Though a bit more narrow, and a little taller vertically.
And without so many missile pods.
