I survived a Reaper bite... O_O

I was bitten by a reaper leviathan and only took 70 damage, then it went away...

Though this only happened once...

I've NEVER seen anyone survive a bite at even full health, but i was at about 90 and only had 20 left afterwards.

Is that supposed to happen at all?

    I was bitten by the Reaper the same time I was going into my Cyclops, I survived and heard a horrible Scream from the Reaper, the bite took 50 health from me ^_^

    Last I checked, the intent is that is is possible to survive one bite. It really should take two to kill you front full health. At least, this was what we tested during release. If you are careful it is possible to survive one hit though only just.
