The funny thing is that the reaper kills you in one hit and the seamoth just gets damaged. While a crash can do a little damage to a flimsy fleshy human and obliterate the metallic, sturdy, seamoth.
Maybe they have an allergy against metal and blow up 10 times as hard while sneezing?
And why don't we fill crash powder in our torpedos to give them a lethal warhead?

Because muh pacifism
Really? Than why don't the devs give us useful peaceful weapons? Like:
- the shrink ray: look at those tiny reapers and put them in your aquarium
- the mind controller: take over a peeper and spy inside the creepvines until you get eaten
- the sonic projector: record a predator and place the sound near its prey or vice versa.
- etc.
If you really think about it, I think part of the arguments regarding the "no violence" stance the developers are taking is that it is mostly one sided thus far.
I think once they finish developing our technology lines it won't be an issue anymore.
I would much rather have to use my brain and find a way to protect an area or counteract a specific type of attack than to just go in, guns blazing, and wipe out everything with no feeling of danger at all. It is that feeling of dread and worry that makes this game so interesting and exciting. If you have an exo suit that let you never worry again then it suddenly becomes uninteresting
