Combining the abilities of the Radiation Suit, the Stillsuit, a Seaglide, and several tools, the Power Armor is the ultimate in personal aquatic exploration equipment.
(Visual Aid)
Originally intended to be worn by deep sea soldiers, the Alterra Tech "Triton" Aquatic Power Armor boasts heavy armor and thick radiation insulation, as well as protection from extreme temperatures and pressures. However, with the loss of the Aurora's armory in the reactor explosion, it will be unable to be ridden into battle as the one-man killing machine it was designed to be.
Still, survivors will be able to make use of its built in tool suite, and it's hardened combat frame to increase their survivability in their deep sea mission.
The Triton sports several powerful features, including
>High default crush depth of 300m
>High mobility using built in engines alongside user muscle control via neural interface
>High defense granted from combat reinforcement, halving all damage received, and is able to survive a direct reaper Leviathan attack.
>Built in "Arm Cannon" style tool suite, capable of housing a Builder, Welder, Stasis Rifle, and Propulsion Cannon
>Able to control buoyancy to swim, or walk on the seafloor
>User can set power cell to detonate and eject in emergency situations.
>Upgrades to mobility, defense, sensor range, power efficiency, night vision, and thermal vision are available.
The Triton Power Armor is quite expensive, due to its wide range of powerful features, requiring
>3x Nanowires
>2x Advanced Wiring Kit
>1x Rebreather
>1x Full Radiation Suit (Helmet, Gloves, and Suit)
>1x Power Cell
>1x Plasteel Ingot
The Suit is dropped into the ocean, in the ready position with its back opened. The player must swim up to the back and Left Click, putting their arms and legs into the suit before it closes around them and drains out the water, before the computer screen visor turns on. The HUD is different than the regular Diving Goggles, with a narrower slit through the visor, as well as the Health and 02 levels being projected on the inside of the helmet.
The Suit is relatively easy to control, capable of both swimming and walking on the seafloor.
By default, the Suit swims, but can sink to the seafloor by double tapping "C"
While Swimming or Seafloor walking, the Suit can activate its engines and dash by pressing "Shift"
While walking on the Seafloor is can go back to swimming by double tapping "Space"
When a tool is selected, the arm cannon will raise, with the other arm bracing it, Samus Aran style.
If attacked by a Reaper Leviathan, the suit will take up to 50% damage, able to potentially survive two attacks at Full Health.
When it runs out of power, it will eject the pilot and float or stand in place.
If it runs out of health, it will eject the player and self-destruct, potentially killing whatever destroyed it.
If destroyed by a Reaper Leviathan, the player will take a large hit to their health, but will still be able to escape while the Reaper is distracted by the exploding Suit.

I was considering robot sharks as a sort of remote controlled drone.
Since they existed before we came to the planet, they'd be based on Mako sharks.
though that discussion is for another thread.
