Torpedos and my impression

So got around to building the torpedoes and their launcher last night. While I am sure I will find a use for them they just feel like distance versions of the propulsion gun right now...which might be the point. But frankly I was unimpressed by the torpedoes and immediately wished for some other more mundane utility versions. I would love to see flare torpedoes for some of the darker rift areas, where you launch one and then 'pop' it to cast a wide illumination. Maybe even use it to scare predators. I also would love to see stasis torpedoes, though I discovered amusingly that your own sub can be put into stasis and be stuck in the current fields. Finally, my last idea was of a 'tether' torpedo, where you launch it at something and it would hook on so you could drag the item. Finding a rock in your way and dragging it with the seamoth until it's dislodged would be a fun use for the system.
There was also one irritation that I found with the system itself, and this was that you had to first launch the ship before you could reach the port to swap torpedoes. I'm not sure of an elegant solution, but I thought I would go ahead and put that out there.
Overall I love the fact you found a way to put torpedoes into the game without making them outright lethal. I'm going to try to find some utility for the system as it stands, but I can easily see it being expanded for other types of uses. So good job devs.

Anyways, one of the devs has already expressed their liking of the idea of more utility torpedoes
