Save to delete local Workshop files?

My C: ssd (OS) is in need of some cleaning up.

I noticed that the NS2 Workshop files in AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2 are taking up almost 2GB.
Can i clean this up? If so, what is the best way to do it? I don't want to break NS2.

you can delete the workshop folder - all thats in there is mod's. then any you have subed to will just re-download.

I always clean mine every few weeks, as it does build up after awhile.
