Hello everyone, this is an informal (non blog post) message to let you all know why your NS2 has received a small update, in order to provide some transparency.
276 had a few unforeseen kinks in it that were not present in the whole month and a half of testing over multiple servers and playercounts.
As a result we went to work on a hotfix over the weekend that was scheduled to be released early this week.
However, due to some internal technical difficulties (that we have since sorted out) you all received an unintended build over the weekend that broke things further..
We are very sorry about the inconvenience this has caused for so many of you. We are typically obsessively careful about how we release our patches, but we slipped up this time and we hope you can forgive us.
As of 10 minutes ago, roughly 1400 PST, the proper hotfix has been pushed out to everyone!
Please play it and let us know if you are experiencing any of the issues that you were previously, right here in this thread.
Thank you, and I hope to see you in game

276.1 Changelog:
- Stopped the server from processing the same client move twice. (caused one of the "red plug" Issues)
- Fixed that debug.setupvalue caused clients to crash (function is used by some of the most popular mods)
- Spectators are no longer included in the match's hive report
- The tutorial is now playable under linux.
- Some servers (wooza and probably the siege mod) may run into issues when interpolating due to reassigned entity ids due to coming close to the entity count limit. We are aware of this and discussing solutions.

TAWs live.
Thanks for the quick path. I appreciate the info received during this period. (not sarcasm, even while busy fixing this, cdt was still willing to give feedback)
I appreciate ATF's help throughout this period as well as some CDT members who decided to chime in(odd), cheers.
Absolutely no rush
