how to enable awesomium - ns2 internal browser

Quite a while ago I somehow disabled awesomium browser. I think I done it using a console command, but I can't see a hint in the console to reactivate and I don't remember what i wrote to deactivate it to try and reverse the effects.

I believe I used console commands but I may be mistaken.

Any ideas how to reactivate ns2 internal browser? Thanks in advance

There's no way I know of that you could have disabled awsomium in vanilla, maybe you are referring to the shine web browser?

its a shine client command. Have a look at your local shine options. Your console should spit some help out when you join on a shine server.

You are right, for whatever reason I thought awsomium was the browser.

Now that I know it's shine related that really helped me to find the solution.

I had a look at Shine wiki. I reckon that I previously disabled MOTD with the command sh_showmotd which I presume is now blocking the shine browser opening. Because i don't have permission on the server with shine to use this command to change it back, it remains hidden.

    you are mistaken.

awsomium IS the browser. You can just setup in your shine client to use steams instead, or disable browsers entirely.
Yes the server admin can do it, but there also is a client command for the client.

Not many user know this but Shine indeed has a client config. Shine tells you about your current setup and how to change it via a short startup message.

The client config also can be found in the NS2 config folder as shine/cl_config.json .

@Legend_Boss You can use sh_disableweb to enable and disable web views in shine on all servers.

Probably you read the startup message once :D But fear not it seems like Shine gets a client config menu pretty soonish.
