Laser Cutter not Working

Over the last few days, I have been unable to use the laser cutter, either in the current Stable Build, or in any current Experimental Branch Build. I swim up to the Huge Wreck. I activate the laser cutter on the sealed door inside the wreck, but the percentage of the sealed door never changes. I hear laser sounds, but see no beam / or tool graphics. I play using a MacBook Pro, on OS X El Capitan.

Not sure if it solved for you guys but I still only get the welding noise and no change in percentages in build 27408 Jan-2016.

Restarted the game, problem solved.

Had the problem of believing this was unfixed for a month until I spawned a new cutter which worked. It's really frightening if old code inventory doesn't get cleaned up with new versions.

Same problem for me- also Mac, interestingly. This is in Build 27764.

Seems like this problem still exists. The door fragment stays and blocks the entrance, although I used the cutter for 100%. I don't feel like starting a new game. When will this be solved? Would be nice to hear an official statement.
