Just a pair of ideas based on the concept of scaring off large creatures using high powered sonic devices.
Screamer Torpedos: Detonate at a short range to produce an underwater sonic concussion wave to scare off predators, although this will also scare off food sources in the process. Creatures within a very short distance are instead stunned. Or as an alternative: The screamer attracts predators and they go after it instead of you, allowing you to gtfo.
Disruptor Cannon: Directed Sonic Concussion wave, possible upgrade path for the Propulsion Cannon. Short range stun, medium range scare, long range has no effect.
Tougher creatures might get scared off a couple times, but after that would be granted immunity for a duration. [Fool me once...]
Another option might be an upgrade module for the SeaMoth that has to be installed alongside the sonar, allowing for a more powerful burst at a massive energy cost.
