These are just some of the ideas that I personally would like to see in-game.
Feel free to expand on any of these ideas.
*Weapons
(Melee)
-Spear
The spear would compress into a small cylinder while in storage and when first pulled out/ not deployed. It would then extend into a full spear after the survivor clicks a button and would work the same in reveres. While in cylinder form the survivor's movement speed wouldn't be effected but when it is fully extended there would be a slight movement speed penalty.
(Weapon Modifications)
-Poison
Could be applied to any weapon that has a blade or shoots a physical projectile. Survivors could harvest the rabbit-ray's toxic flesh and use it as a one form of poison.
-Electrify
Uses the electric prongs of the shocker in order to add more damage to blades or could be used as a material to craft an electrified fence to protect survivors base from potential threats.
*Base Stuff
-Spot lights
Now with the new lighting from the H2O update this would be very nice in helping survivors determine if it is safe in order to leave the base during low viability locations and times. Plus what base doesn't have some form of external lighting system.
-Electrified fence/cage/perimeter defense system
Whatever you want to call it, but it would use shocker prongs in crafting a defense system that would deter hostile life forms from getting to close to survivor's bases or zones of interest. Instead of having it on at all times it could instead sense when hostile lifeforms have come to close and just like the Seamoth's Perimeter Defense System, it would send an electrical shock that scares them away.
-Fauna farm
Could be its own building like the Moon pool and/or an attachment like the Water Filtration Machine. They would act like aquariums and could store captured fauna and could be used to help speed up said fauna's reproduction cycle. It would require the survivor to frequently add food to it in order for the fauna to breed, this food could be a mixture of creep vine, corals, and other fauna (Either universally or depending on the type of fauna).
-Creep vine and coral farm
Would be like the above fauna farm only it would provide a reliable source of creep vines and corals.
*Deployables
-Fauna feeder
Could be deployed by the survivor that would take food nutrients and disperse them into the surrounding waters. After some time has passed there would be an increase in the number of local fauna around the feeder, this is as long as there is food inside it. However if the feeder has been active for a long period of time the number of local predators around the feeder well also increase.
*Gear
-A head lamp
Act like the flashlight but would either fill one of the HUD slots in the inventory or would have its own slot and could be activated using a hotkey. Thus freeing the hands for other work.
