My roommate and I were enjoying Subnautica (thanks for that graphics patch of late, that fixed us) and we compiled a list of thoughts and ideas.
In no particular order:
Gameplay
Feels stiff when going above the surface in the seamoth, some rotational momentum should persist above the surface, so i can jump in a nice arc....like a dolphin.
Increase Max dist a player can interact with things, like a locker or a fabricator, slightly. Icon size relative to distance from object?
PDA Key should exit Fabricator UI if open, tired of reaching for escape to check the inv
Repair seamoth from inside cyclops. Don't like getting in the seamoth from the cyclops, then getting out of the seamoth once separated, just to weld a bit.
De/Construction
Deconstructing a full locker yields a few items, but the majority of the inventory is lost. Not sure if intentional. Lil harsh.
toggleable angle/increment snap on rotation/translation.
Fine tune rotation/translation with q, w, e, a, s, d.
Toggle between translation/rotation control with same keys, mouse?
Perhaps it's intentional; I can't seem to place a moon pool on the sea floor.
Cyclops
Cyclops Pings repeatedly (audio) it should have a built in sonar that auto-pings. togglable at dash?
Moar Upgrade Slotsin the cyclops!
Parascope, top & bottom, or camera upgrades that allow one to toggle to different (custom?) views.
Lights
Placeable, aimable light structures.
Aimable lights on craft.
Additional lights as vehicle upgrades.
Underwater Rubber Trees
If not only for the title, then for the logical source for rubber. Alien Rubber.
