Missing several chunks of terrain.

I have a world started after the H2.0 update (but before the stability one).

I have several chunks of this world that seem to be missing a proper heightmap. Terrain is 'there', but it looks like someone went through with a magic steamroller and flattened out the entire terrain cube to a value of about 158m deep.

'Props' such as stalagmites/tites, rocks, resources, plants, etc, just sit in mid air as if terrain still exists.

Any solution to this? Any way of avoiding it? What do I need to send in to help solve the issue? (I'm assuming the stuff here as this might be a save game bug, but I'm not entirely sure.)

I don't want to start trying to repair the issue (I was thinking of simply deleting the 'baked-batch-cells' files associated with the area, which for this specific area appears to be the files baked-batch-cells-(14-16)-(17-19)-(16/19).bin to see if the game would regenerate) before sending in info to sort out whatever bug this is.

Have you solved the issue or has it been fixed, Moleculor? I'm having the same problem with the latest stable build, the second time now. It makes the game unplayable as everything outside of a certain radius is just gone.

No, I didn't solve or fix the issue. Haven't attempted any fixes, actually. At best I'd think that deleting some files might cause them to regenerate, but I never tried. I saw the issue in the next build after the one I posted this in. I haven't tried the build that added fire extinguishing in silence (March).

Looking like a Devs constantly make some 'rebuild' in seabed terrain. so in game still present any areas where one piece of terrain not suit to another. Some objects which was tied to previous version of map still present in rebuilded map and 'stuck in air' (or water). I think if you add to these pics coordinates, where wrong object was detected, it will be more helpfull for Devs for fix it.

I only just started playing Subnautica, so started fresh with the March update, no updates since then. I tried your suggestion, Molecular. It didn't work for me, but what did work was to copy the according baked-batch-cells file from the SNUnmanagedData/Build18/CellsCache folder to the savegame CellsCache folder and overwrite the existing one in there, yay!

@Alex: The issue isn't that objects are in the wrong place, it's that the complete terrain goes missing for certain camera tiles. So there's just a massive square hole in the ground.

I just had the same problem: Large parts of the mountains and the whole large floating island were missing. I cleared both the Cells and the Compiled Octrees Cache folder. After that the missing geo was back!
