I made a 54-minute video:
As an avid reef snorkeler way back my high school days I can say that Subnautica has, hands down, the most realistic underwater graphics to date. The only thing missing now is the absence of silt. When a diver swims through shallow waters, his movement stirs up silt (sand, debris, etc). It would be awesome if the devs can implement this. I've already provided my feedback some time back via the F8 UI.
One thing I don't like about the game is that if you forget recipes, you've to go back to the lifepod. Can we have it so that we can scan the recipes on the tablet? That way we won't have to go back to the lifepod.

I loaded it up and spent a few minutes swimming around. I've seen realistic water in other games before so it didn't blow my mind. The rest of the game's art is cartoony so I never saw the point in making the water realistic. Though I suppose some - like the OP - will appreciate it. Wasn't anything else in the update that seemed terribly interesting.
Will give the game a good play again after the farming update goes live.
