New League: Real Combat

<div class="IPBDescription">Great League</div> RealCombat (Formerly Area51Live) has gone through massive expansion, opening up Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, and Firearms leagues in addition to their already large TFC league. Now, Andy Hodges, head of the league, has just announced the ordering of 2 more servers for the Natural-Selection league they're adding! This is great news! I've been in this league for a few years, and its awesome! Its free, although because of the increased cost, they will start charging $10 Dollars/Year- incredibly cheap for what you get.

Sign ups should start in a week or so, so check it out!

    If anyone has self respect they would not join this league

    The person who runs it is an abbusive drunk who does what he pleases when he pleased undependent on wether or not it is in violation of the rules he set down himself. Ask just about any self respecting TFC clan this and they will agree.

    plus if you dont pay $10 as of Dec 31st this year the price goes up...but why pay when you can use the other leagues for free? im sorry id rather have my own server and group of guys than use someone elses server (which atm arent pingin very well) and have to abide by some dictatorial set of rules by one man who is taking my money every year (prolly be more when he sees what kind of profit he'll get) so no sorry id rather take my clan and go to UGL or CAL

    (p.s. ive known Mr. Hodges for over a year and have found his sense of character lacking and not as "humble" as he would like everyone to think he is)

    I think it's pretty stupid to charge for a league when there are so many free ones out there. Like boobs said, it would be better to get your own server - at least then you won't have to deal with Adolf Hodges.

    If you do sign up though, word of advice. Dont dissagree with him on anything, if you find him drunk he'll ban you regardless if you paid or not. And not over just big things, trivial things.

    i did some figuring a while back, and each team on RCL is allowed to have 16 players MAX on all rosters, tfc, cs, dod, etc.. if all teams had 10 players on their rosters, he would make at least 20,000 dollars a year from the money commin in if everyone stayed. 16 ppl per team = 35,000 dollars. also there was a poll on the messageboard about if users would pay. 3% said no, and the league weeded out "3% of the league cause of bad behavior" or to some extent like that. don't waste you're 10 bucks. go play at ogl, cal, sta, or anything besides RCL.

    A few people laughed at this thread and asked me to post the facts. So here I am. I won't be able to return to join the little anti-Andy debate, because this is a league forum. Not a bashing forum.

    With all respect, most of these people writing the posts in here were banned from RCL for misconduct. Not only did the league members themselves vote them out of the league, but they continued to harass and stalk other members who belong to the league.

    The RCL has a great reputation on the CATS, afterall, we are listed on the cats as a league.

    I am not an alcoholic, nor do I drink. I really think that the focus here should be whether or not the RCL is a league that somebody wants to join, whether than discussing my personal life which is nobody's business.

    The people posting remarks about me, or about the RCL are not people who really want to join a league and participate in any community. As you can tell by the their posts, they would rather poisen than playing a game which is what brought us here in the first place, and to compete and meet new friends. This little group of people do not have any respect for others, nor do they know how to act. People in the RCL got tired of dealing with their trash-talk and unsportsmanlike conduct within the game and out of the game. Another reason why they were banned from RCL.

    The RCL is not going anywhere but UP. We have always been a growing league with community interests. It's true that we a pay league with a membership fee of $10 per YEAR. That hasn't stopped our popularity. The RCL started because many people got tired of playing with bad sportsmanship or with kids/people who couldn't follow the league rules & policies. I do not solely make or create the league rules & policies. The RCL Council does and the people behind the ideas or rule ammendents are the people in the league themselves.

    Because of this trash talking about me and the RCL (which is all fabricated lies, stories, etc from the same little group that got banned for similar misconduct) our NS ladder has sky-rocketed and grown by 73% in just 2 1/2 weeks. Any bad PR is good PR I guess.

    Many people who have read this thread didn't believe the Andy stories, but they got to know me by talking to me, reading my threads, and how I have handled match disputes.

    If you're going to play the game, then play. If you want politics, you stand alone. People are here because of a video game.

    I suggest that you few people grow up. I'm sure you'll reply with more trash like you always do, but alteast this message stands with the facts on why you're doing this and why you prefer trash talk over playing a game.
