World + Item Suggestions (i'm basically just splurging ideas onto a page)

Firstly, the playable game world needs to be much larger with more variation. I've seen the ideas for an ice biome which in my opinion would be a fantastic addition, ice bergs and undersea ice caves with their own fish types. (it would be nice to see ice islands as well ;) The lack of a colorful natural reef similar to the Great Barrier Reef just seems crazy. It would also be nice to see more animated flora. Plants and sand skimmers, crab like creatures Octopods and sucker fish etc. that sit on your windows. Just small things that add to the feeling that the world is alive.

Something i haven't seen anyone mention thus far is dynamic weather effects. Rain, Storms, Wind they would add amazing atmospheric feeling and effect. Just imagine being under water, seeing great flashes of lightning as it hits the ocean. Maybe even electrifying the area of contact? in turn needing a new swimsuit or protective gear, and submarine upgrades for protection from extreme voltages.

Tsunami's caused by how close the planet is to it's moon , meteor storms that are superheated/cooled on landing, filled with rare materials for new items (scan-able too...where did it come from?!) Computer could provide warning, and advice on shelter, resulting in new technology being available after the first occurrence. Anti-meteor defenses, deep sea walls to prevent impacts from Tsunami's.

and, of course. Giant sea turtle with an island on it's back. :blush:

Next. more rooms to build. an 'Engine room' of sorts, for reactors larger rectangular rooms with built in storage or simply for orchards or in door farming (current rooms aren't really designed for trees or planters since they take up too much space), much like a warehouse that you can store hundreds of items accessible all at once, with a search function to locate specific items. Crafting stations should be tied into all local storage, say within 1 room so you don't have to constantly dash from locker to locker trying to find a single item.

Oxygen production (when bases have limited oxygen) Should require pipes to be attached to each room, flowing around your base. Varying levels of oxygen depending on how far away the room is to an Oxygen producing machine.

a Monorail (expensive to build) but would allow you to connect bases via special corridors with tracks. (monorail car would have to be built seperately and you should be able to call the car to whichever end-of-rail location you are at.
