I've been reading through the translations a bit and I noticed that for French the Seamoth and Prawn suit are using their English names. While not wrong, I believe this is a missed opportunity, especially considering how difficult those two words would be to understand for kids with limited fluency in English. My knowledge of French is very limited but to me something along the lines of "Mermite" and "Combinaison Homard" would sound pretty good.
I've said it in the Spanish thread already, for me the mindset when doing translations is to imagine myself being a 12 year old with very little fluency in English. Chances are they don't know what "moth" means. Maybe they recognize "sea" and know how to pronounce it, maybe not. I ask myself: would I cringe overhearing a conversation between said 12 year olds talking about how cool the "sous-marin se-a-moh" is?
Je trouve qu'on nous met de l'anglais ou des anglicismes partout (Carrefour Market, "digital", les slogans en anglais de boite française lors de pub pour faites pour des français, etc...) et ça me gonfle mais les gens y sont habitués et je doute que ça choque quelqu'un de voir des mots anglais de véhicules non traduits, surtout de la part des joueurs. "Gameplay, ship, map, faire une game", c'est du language courant pour beaucoup.
J'ai commencé à m'atteler à la traduction des journeaux des Torgal, c'est moins simple que prévu
French kids would probably pronounce them in very french way that you wouldn't recognize it if you were hearing it. I don't think those kinds of words need to be understood literally since they point to some vehicules. I guess it's up to discussion anyway, we've just not seen anything yet that could suit.
My translation advises :
1) Schema "Pompe à air murale" (wall air-pump) :
Error : Plural form is not respected in this item description. It is missing an "s" at the end of "connecté".
Solution : The item description must end with "tuyaux connectés." instead of "tuyaux connecté.".
2) Databank entries not translated :
Two of them (only the title has been translated but not the content text), under Alien life forms -> Fauna -> Dead/Deceased.
Solution : Translate content text for :
-> "Restes d'un spécimen de recherche" (Remains of a research specimen).
-> "Squelette de Reaper Leviathan" (Reaper Leviathan skeleton).
3) Databank entry : "Damage reports" (under Downloaded Data -> Alien Data -> Terminal Data).
Typo : An "a" is missing to "Levithan" in the content text of the entry "Rapports de dommages".
Solution : Replace "Levithan" with "Liviathan".
4) Databank entry : Tablet names (under Downloaded Data -> Alien Data -> Scanned Data).
Typo : Two of the precursor tablets names have no capital letter for the color ("Tablette violette" and "Tablette bleu") but the third one has a capital letter ("Tablette Orange").
Solution : Either use capital letters everywhere or don't use it.
5) Schema "Pot de fleurs" (plant pots and shelfs) :
Confusing : There is 3 variants for the same name : "Pot de fleurs", "Pot à plantes", "Pot de plantes". The best variant is "Pot de fleurs" in French.
Solution : Choose between "Pot de fleurs" and "Pot à plantes" and use it for the four items.
In my optinion this should be the translated versions :
"Basic Plant Pot" -> "Pot de fleurs basique".
"Composite Plant Pot" -> "Pot de fleurs composite".
"Chic Plant Pot" -> "Pot de fleurs élégant".
"Plant Shelf" -> "Pot de fleurs mural" (but for this last one you can keep "Étagère pour plantes", it's fine).

Si tu parles de Below Zero, oui, c'est en cours de traduction, bien que les langues ne soient toujours pas implémentées dans le jeu. Je suppose que les développeurs vont s'en occuper rapidement.

Dans Subnautica la fin à gâcher mon immersion.
Dans Below Zero il y a beaucoup de dialogue donc plus d’immersion.
Traduire un jeu dans plusieurs langues prend du temps et beaucoup d’argent.
Je trouve le temps de developement prévue de Below Zero trop cour pour faire un bon jeu (c’est un autre sujet) donc implémenté une traduction vocale pour chaque pays me semble impossible.
Pourquoi pas laissé faire la communauté ?

Les Youtubeur ont en général du matériel de bonne qualité, si une personne peu m’aidé à remplacer les fichiers du jeu via un mod ou autre je me ferai un plaisir à travailler les audio en respectent le plus fidèlement possible l’original
Les Dev peuvent métre en place un système pour faciliter le remplacement des audio ?
Hello audio translation and mandatory
In Subnautica the end to spoil my immersion.
In Below Zero there is a lot of dialogue so more immersion.
Translating a game into multiple languages takes time and a lot of money.
I find the development time of Under Zero too short to make a good game (that's another subject) so implementing a voice translation for each country seems impossible.
Why not let the community do it?

Désolé de faire un peu de necrothread mais je joue à Subnautica sur le tard. Je joue surtout en anglais parce que j'ai remarqué quelques anomalies avec la VF.
Entre temps j'ai appris que la VF était faite de manière communautaire et du coup, plutôt que "me plaindre", je me demandais s'il était encore possible de participer, si des gens travaillent toujours sur la traduction ?
