Unable to harvest some things with my knife

I have the same problem as THIS thread:

I am unable to harvest Table Coral & Fungal samples in the Mushroom Forest with my knife or heat knife or hardened knife. They never break into bits no matter how much I cut, where I cut, what angle I cut from, etc.

It's appears to be an old problem, did it never got resolved? If not, consider this a bump. Reloading does not resolve the problem. Everything else appears to be working perfectly.

I've figured it out (at least for Me). I was trying out the "NODAMAGE" console command to get to deeper depths to explore, and didn't turn it off later. It's No Damage to you and Your subs, but ALSO No Damage to plants or animals (or coral or mushrooms, etc.) . So make sure that this command is OFF or 'not true'. Hope this helps some of you

I think it might have something to do with the P.R.A.W.N drill arm. My knife worked fine until I got the drill arm, then it quit working on the table coral, but I was still able to knock them loose with the drill arm. Conflicting animation sequences maybe? I dunno.
