Hardcore Stories?

Hey so I've been enjoying a few runs in Hardcore mode to see how far I would get, and I am actually enjoying it! Didn't think I would, but I am. Anyway, who has some good Hardcore stories? One of mine goes like this:
Attempt 1 (not counting the derpy early suffocation deaths)
I spawned in near creepvines very very close to the Aurora. On my second dive I discovered that the radiation zone was almost right up the creepvines, and I had trouble staying outside of it while collecting.
After a few dives, I found a cave that went straight down, but there were those explody fish so I was very cautious. Apparently not cautious enough because I came up to the surface after one exploded with 82 health left.
Since I wanted the crash powder, I headed back down and got it, but continued deeper into the cave until I found a tunnel that lead out by where the creepvines where at. Collecting along the way out, I was startled to see a Stalker very close as I got out of the cave and headed toward the surface. I was deep down and had plenty of air in my new oxygen tanks to get up, but the Stalker attacked me on my ascent and bit me twice, causing me to bleed out in the depths.
