Having a problem with vanishing Thermal Plant

I have 2 time in a row build a Thermal Plant ad my base in the Grand Reef. They both time worked and everything was good. But when using power inside the base suddenly power drop to zero. When I go outside investigate its simple gone. Vanished. What is going on?

My Subnautica build is 30230 Mar-2016

did you place it next to a lava geyser? if yes the plant can get damaged and even destroyed by the eruptions.

We need a bug reactor. One that turns bugs into energy.

I placed a reactor next to my base.
But when changing something to my base it deletes the surrounding area to fit the base, wich means it also deleted my reactor every time. Took me a few min to figure that one out.
Could this be a similar problem?
