ideas for the seamoth....
ability to put a scanner on it, so we won't have to get out of the sub every time we want to scan something.

create another sub, mainly used for scavenging for supplies.... this sub will have a bubble cockpit. Will have a grappling arm to pick up scrap metal and can put it into storage bin on the back of the sub. storage bin would be the size of 2 wall lockers. max depth would be 300 m without depth compensators... the seamoth upgrades work on this new sub, except the torpedo launcher.

move where the moonpool fragments to a different biome.... seamoth is max depth of 224m before it implodes.... why is the moonpool fragments in the grand reef where it barely starts at 180m going to 450m? how about putting it in the grassy plateaus, dunes, underwater islands or even on mountain island? we can get the seamoth upgrade console easier than the moonpool fragments.

give us the ability to open the pda while in the seamoth, along with opening up the storage compartment(s) while we are in the sub....

Agree, 100%. One of the things I like to see in games with upgrade slots is plenty of options, so that deciding what upgrades to take isn't so much of a gimme. Let's face it, a pretty common config right now is solar-depth-sonar-shock. Unless you're gearing up for something specific, this covers pretty much everything.

I think that the exo-suit is going to fill this role, based on what little information is available for it.

I could go either way here. Given that there's no hostile fauna down there, in my last play-through I just piped my way down with a rebreather.

Yes and yes. The ability to open the storage compartments shouldn't be to difficult to implement, either, given that they end up in your equipment quickslots anyway.

didn't really read the page for the exosuit.... sounds exactly what I was thinking of for a new sub..... other than the legs and the sitting.... my idea didn't have need for legs and you laid down in it.... sort of like an over grown torpedo with arm(s).
but if they put the ability for us to store resources with the arms on the exosuit... I'll be a happy man!
