Aren't there enough things trying to kill us? Oh, wait. The Grand Reef is kinda peaceful, so it could live there.

I agree, the Grand Reef is really boring in terms of biodiversity. I heard that they're planning to add the crabsquid there tho, so that's cool.

Can we please not?! I'm tired of all of these predators. The predator/prey relationship is so messed up. We've got about 10 hostile creatures, most as big as the seamoth or larger, with all of the peaceful creatures (Except the Gasopod and Reefback) being the size of a bread basket. With most of these predators we have 20 of them at a time while with prey there's very little. How did this kind of ecosystem survive for so many years?

The biggest creature in the game is going to be passive/defensive. :3

Generally speaking, when there are a lot of predators, that typically means the prey are plentiful. In this case, the prey we have probably breed like rabbits.

I would like to see more options for customization of our base. More decorations and furniture. I know its a survival game but maybe a bed would be nice that lets you skip the night and you wake up more hungry and thirsty. Or something like a fridge to keep cooked meals fresh. I think it would also be cool to change the color and name of our bases. maybe make a wall mounted computer like the one for the Seamoth that allows you to set the colors of the base and if it could appear like a beacon on our HUD.

I think it would be better to add more peaceful weird creatures.

E.g. more flying creatures (its logical since flying should give the fish an ability to escape from predators), air-breathing fish (like arapaima but herbivorous), "human-teeth" fish pacu (aka herbivorous piranha - btw makes a lot of sense since there is a biter; flat teeth should be good to chew the crustaceans that must be hiding at the bottom/in the sand).

I'm sure that devs have much better ideas than I do =)

20? I've had something like 5 at the most at any given time.

In real life most varieties of sea life are predators.

Agree with you 100% Way too many predators and they all seem to attack only one thing: the player. With the exception of the stalker which eat little fish none of the other meat eaters attack any other creature.

Please devs can we see more balance in the food chain.

I still say the reaper should hunt the stalkers from time to time.

It's possibly not as skewed as you believe. One would think that every trophic level has approximately one tenth the biomass since 90% of the energy is lost, but it's actually not that way.

The simpler animals cycle really fast, where as the big predators grow slowly and have a much lower energy expenditure per kg. You can actually have more biomass shark than biomass of the fish that feeds it.
