Water Current and Application

Last night it hit me what was breaking my immersion.... but I'm not sure how it could be implemented.

When you swim by a tiny creature, or get swam by a large one, there should be a disturbance in the medium that you can see.
This ties into the suggestion for disturbable silt as well, but will be really noticeable once the Sea Emperor or Sea Dragon take a swipe at you... even if they miss it should send you spinning from the mass of all the water displaced.

Like I said... I'm not sure how it could be implemented, but it'd be awersome.

    Could be a simple shockwave attack like they do in other games vs boss monsters. Shaders could make it look watery... Shouldn't be too hard, pretty sure this programmers can work their magic :)

    Agreed... but it should also happen when you swim past rock grubs, or silt, for example. The intensity of the "Shock wave" should be based on the size of the creating creature, and resistance is based on the size of the effected creature.

    so yeah, a bit more involved.
