The Cyclops is a "vast industrial mining submarine"--and now, we cam actually use it as such; we can go right the hell down and come back with a f-ckton of resources, quartz, copper, whatever! This changes everything!

According to Subnautica wiki, Chelonian Structures and Cartilaginous Shells will eventually be acquired by researching Reefback eggs. It is possible that instead of searching for Reefback eggs, acquiring Reefback DNA with a Transfuser will be used. Of course, this has not been implemented yet so it will only be available in Creative mode for the forseeable future.

I cant see them in current survival game started 31604 updated to 31623 and I just built the Cyclops. :( looks like new game time.

I can see them in the creative build 31623 and I put 4 of then in the slots and got a depth reading of 3250/3300. Sweet

I wonder if the seamoth docked inside of the Cyclops would take damage from that depth even if it was never remove from mother ship ( Cyclops ) ???
It will be some time before I can test this, if I have to make a new survival game and find the fragments again.

I seem to remember at one time I had the seamoth with no depth upgrades equipped in the moth, and was diving deep in the Cyclops and getting warning about damage do to the depth, when my Cyclops was fully upgrade with 4 Pressure Compensation Module installed and I was above the Cyclops crush depth.
I am thinking it was warning me about the seamoth docked inside of the Cyclops.

Now it's official: The builtin cyclops cargo space (5 lockers = 60) is less than the builtin seamoth cargo space (4 cargo modules = 64). But still those subs have slightly bigger pockets than humans (48).

The cyclops hull upgrades are very old and get outdated with the new coming cyclops chipped upgrades. The game design of depth was cut down as the final cave now is at 1500m and not 3000m. There are some hidden caveblocks reaching beyond that 1500m, but looking at the roadmap, they'll probably be cut. The depth has been reworked to make it impossible for the seamoth (900m) to get near the lava castle, so that a 1500m (cyclops) limit is still enough. But it could still be changed.

I think you mean slightly less than humans.
