Terraformer upgrade option -- Trim deposited stone

I'd like the option to deconstruct/deposit stone using a cubical interface in addition to the current sphere. My main purpose would be to obtain a flat surface on the stone deposited by the terraformer.
This could be implemented as an upgrade to the standard terraformer.
