UPDATE: EDIT03: According to the Roadmap, on April 29, the Card "Remove support for D3D9" has been moved to the Task List "Unknown". Which IMHO means that they will still definitely remove D3D9 Support - but at a later point (could still happen before Release 1.0). Even if it is just a delay: Thank You "Charlie Cleveland" aka "Frayra" and Team
EDIT02: I just decided to buy the Original Version to support UWE and to be able to send some Logfiles to the Devs. If they really are removing the D3D9 Support in May 2016 before those CTDs are fixed - well then a lot of us AMD Users are screwed.
Hello Forum, Hello Developers.
From what I am watching on Youtube and from my experience with the latest Steam Version so far, I think Subnautica has some great Opportunities. But:
I checked the Trello Board just yesterday again and I am now concerned about 2 things:
1.) The "Start GOG shipping" Card has been archived.
Question: Does this mean there will be A.) Absolutely no GOG Release or B.) It is just delayed for when Subnautica 1.x has been released?
2.) For the Exosuit Update (sometime in May), the Plan is to "Remove support for D3D9" completely. Which means the Workaround "-force-d3d9" will not work any longer.
Question: Are you are of the Problems with some AMD Cards (Very old ones like my Radeon HD5770 and even current High End Cards)?
Have you found a way yet to Fix those Bugs?
2.A.) It is a Problem with the Unity Engine and one or more Assets / Shader Settings. Similar Crashes (Display Driver stopped working) happened with the Game "Cities: Skylines" - it uses Unity 5.x aswell. The Problem there was a few Assets, which were misformatted for DirectX11.
Thank You and have a nice Day
Oliver
