Living wall plantable

I like the idea of the living wall.
It smooths this steril base touch out a bit.
But I think living walls right now are a bit boring.

What if living walls would be plantable...so you can plant some type of plants on them, and so you can give it -and your base - an individual touch and look.
Additionally when O2 is needed some day, living walls could grant an base value of O2 and add some Extra O2 - depending on how many and on which kind of plants are planted on it.

I think they've done away with the idea of needing to make O2 for bases, so long as the base is powered.

When I first scanned the living wall, I thought it had some function. I actually thought (how dare I?) that it might be in the slightest bit useful rather than a waste of titanium, and that it was basically a planter for specific plants for the wall, so you could have a room just overgrowing with plant life. Now, due to it actually being useless, I just avoid scanning it altogether, because it just adds one more thing to the builder menu to look through for things I actually want.

    No, I'm not bitter.

I think he meant even without power. After all, plants make oxygen for you regardless of receiving electricity (oddly enough). So, maybe being within a small vicinity of one of these would reduce the rate you use oxygen, a second would stop oxygen alterations entirely, and a third would very slowly replenish it. That way you can't just plant one wall (what a weird statement that is. "Planting a wall.") in a corridor and be set for life.

If your base had no power (and therefore no lights), your plants would not produce oxygen. Plants only produce oxygen as a result of photosynthesis, so if there is no light, they will not make oxygen. If fact, plants use oxygen at night for respiration (not a lot, but they do use it).
